How big is the Tuk Tuk Photo Booth?

The tuk tuk measures approx. (L) 263cm x (H) 170cm x (W) 135cm. It also weighs 320kg so can’t be carried up stairs I’m afraid, unless you’re superman.

We also provide an accompanying table set up as a printing station that measures (L) 122cm x (H) 73cm x (W) 60cm however if there is a suitable sized table available for us to use at your venue that works for us too.

Can you set up the tuk tuk booth inside my venue?

Yes. If you have the venue owners permission AND there is suitable ramped double door access allowing us enter and exit according to your booking timings. We do require step free access to your chosen booth location AND that all pathways and entry points leading to the location be at least 140cm wide. A shallow step here or there is fine, however we can’t navigate tight corners, so please be mindful when assessing the access with your venue manager. We'll triple check with them as well to be sure!

How long does it take to set up the booth?

Approximately 1 hour. We arrive at least 90 minutes before your booth start time to set up and test the booth is working. Please give consideration to whether the setup location will be in use by anyone when we arrive and exit, so we can plan to set up in advance if necessary. This is to minimise any potential disruption to your event. Any advance set up is charged as idle time at £30 per hour and must be agreed in advance when making a booking.

How many people can fit inside the booth?

The tuk tuk booth maybe be small but she be mighty and can accommodate up to 3 x average sized adults seated inside (4 at a squeeze). It is not designed for large group photos however one or two extra guests are more than welcome to lean in from the side. Children are also best sat on laps or cushions provided due to the camera height in the booth being designed for adults. ☺

Can the Tuk Tuk Booth be located inside a marquee?

Yes, as long as the marquee meets our access requirements mentioned above, has a hard, level surface and access to mains or generator power within 50m of the booth. We are not able to set up inside a marquee whilst it is in use by guests or when the wedding breakfast is taking place so please make allowances for this.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in West Berkshire near Hungerford but cover all the surrounding counties as well, including the whole of Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Hampshire Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Greater & Central London too!

We absolutely love the tuk tuk, but how far do you travel?

We don't want anyone to miss out on some tuk tuk fun so we try to cover all of Berkshire's surrounding counties. Sadly we can't drive our lovely tuk tuk to every job so we have to transport her in our big company van. Delivery charges are automatically calculated when booking online. We offer free delivery within a 30 mile radius of our base near Lambourn so thats 60 miles worth of travel free. After this we charge £1 per mile each way. For all London hires a £100 fee applies.

Can you provide my venue with your insurance details and PAT test certificates?

No problem. We carry Public Liability cover up to £5 millon pounds and all of our equipment is PAT tested annualy and fully certified. If your venue requires we provide these, upon booking please let us know and we'll email these documents direct to your venue contact or to you to pass on.

How do we receive our prints?

Straightaway. All prints will be touch dry and ready to collect within 20 seconds. Once guests have finished taking photos and exited the booth they will be directed to our print station to collect their prints by one of our attendants.

Do I get digital copies of all the images to keep?

Of course! This comes as standard with all hires. At the end of each hire, we'll give you a bamboo Hello Tuk Tuk USB stick containing all the images, animated gifs and videos for you to keep forever (even the embarrassing ones that might be best left forgotten!).

Can I provide my own guestbook?

Yes that’s fine too. If you would like our attendants to manage the guestbook on your behalf however a £25 fee will apply. This ensures there is a selection of quality smudge proof sharpie pens and photo mount available to your guests and that all guests are instructed on how add their photos and personal messages to your book in a neat & presentable way and most importantly that the book is kept safe from spillages for the duration of your hire.

Do you accept debit or credit cards?

Yes. We accept payment by either direct bank transfer, cheque and debit or credit card via our payment provider Stripe. All credit or debit card payments processed via Stripe are subject to 1.4% fee.

What happens if it rains?

Whilst we do provide a pop up gazebo's to shelter the tuk tuk from light rain, these shelters are not suitable for adverse weather conditions such as heavy or persistant rain or moderate to strong winds above 15mph. In the case of any bad weather we reserve the right to cancel all bookings if we feel it will be unsafe for us to carry out the job or there is a risk of our electrical equipment being damaged.

It is your responsibility to provide us with a backup indoor booth location or covered area and to notify us in advance if you think you will require our pop up gazebo set up so this can be added to your booking information.

 
 

WEDDING TRANSPORT FAQs

 

How many passengers can ride inside the Tuk Tuk?

The tuk tuk is approved to carry 3 x passengers and a driver. The passenger compartment is fitted with 3 x seat belts which passengers must wear at all times to comply with UK law. The driver is not required to wear one however.

What is the tuk tuk’s top speed?

The tuk tuk has a top speed of 42 miles per hour however we would never drive at this speed and tend to average approx 25mph.

What happens if it rains, this is England after all?

All our Tuk Tuk's come with a set of zip down, windowed rainproof side panels as well as an orange heart shaped umbrella and warm throw blankets for passengers to use if needed.

In severe weather we do reserve the right to cancel a booking if weather conditions make it too hazardous to drive, so it is always recommended to have a backup transportation in place such as a family member or guests car in case the worst should happen.

Am I allowed to drive the Tuk Tuk?

Unfortunately not. Due to strict UK licencing restrictions and insurance regulations we do not offer any form of self-drive hire. Only the designated Hello Tuk Tuk driver provided may drive the tuk tuk.

You're more than welcome to pose for photos on the front seat though!

Can we play music inside the Tuk Tuk?

Yes. We provide a fully charged UE Wonderboom bluetooth connective speaker to play music via a smartphone. Our drivers also have spotify premium, so if you would prefer to create and share your own playlist in advance, you can then sit back and relax and let your tuk tuk driver handle the tunes!

Can we attach our own decorations to the Tuk Tuk?

We are happy to consider this type of special request on a case-by-case basis, so long as it complies with UK road law and does not pose a danger to the public whilst driving or cause any lasting damage to the vehicle or the tuk tuk’s vinyl wrap.
